At Miracle Theatre, we are committed to supporting young people who want to explore a career in theatre and the arts. Our Miracle Generation work experience programme offers student and volunteer placements when the company is in rehearsal or touring a production. The placement can involve work at the company’s rehearsal space and on tour. We are currently reviewing our offer, but in the meantime, you can sign up as a volunteer and gain valuable work experience helping out at our shows.
Miracle Theatre has a rich history, not only in touring shows across Cornwall and beyond, but also working with educational establishments, work places, voluntary groups and the wider community. We offer workshops and work placements, as well as work experience opportunities.
Our practitioners lead workshops in a variety of settings, focussing upon the requirements of the people we are working with. Below is an example of some of the people we have worked with and the focusses of the workshops delivered. However, we can tailor workshops to your needs and provide bespoke offers to suit you.
For a number of years, we have worked with Exeter University supporting their new intake of undergraduate students. Initially, we worked with law students however, in September 2022 Exeter university rolled the programme out to a wider cohort of new students.
This workshop brought students and staff together to get to know one another, learn new communication skills and build confidence and trust with one another. With so much learning online, this was an effective, fun, and sociable workshop to help bond new groups and combat the isolation of working remotely. Although most learning is now in person, the culture of remote working has become more established since Covid, and therefore ensuring students have the opportunity to make “in person” bonds are particularly important.
This workshop developed communication skills and confidence when speaking in groups and in public – in a friendly, supportive and fun way. It can be daunting to speak up in a group and breaking down those barriers can be the key to the success of students, at any stage of their learning. Our practitioners create a safe environment in which to develop these skills and build confidence.
The above examples are open to adaptation. We can develop a focus tailored to your establishment’s purpose, need, age group, and setting. Miracle Theatre works with many highly experienced and talented people and in doing so are able to match what we can offer to what you need.

We strive to be environmentally friendly in our theatre productions and our spring show Everyman goes further, asking probing questions about our role in this world. The true meaning of the show is about hope that there is chance for change. And there are plenty of wonderful humans doing just that in your community…
