We’re relaunching our Volunteer programme, with even more opportunities for you to get involved and make a difference!
As a busy touring theatre company, we always need extra help to keep this show on the road. This Christmas, we will be performing our new show Duffy and the Stiltskin at Princess Pavilion in Falmouth, and we’re recruiting a team of willing Front of House volunteers (also known as Miracle Workers) to help us deliver our show to over 7,000 people across the festive season.
Miracle Workers are a vital part of our team, helping us to deliver a quality show to more people, improving the audience journey, and raising awareness of our charity fundraising. We couldn’t do this without YOU!
Voluntary responsibilities may include showing people to their seats, greeting customers with a smile, spreading the word about Miracle’s community outreach programmes, fundraising, selling raffle tickets, making a cup of tea for the company, or helping us get-in and take-down the set. Let us know what you’re interested in, and we’ll empower you to take on the ideal role.
In return, we can offer you a friendly and warm welcome, free training and resources to complete the role, support from our Volunteer Coordinator, an expenses allowance, and volunteer awards! If you’re looking to diversify your CV, gain new skills, try something new, or ask for a reference, this is a great place to start. We take applications from students at school, college, or university; you can also check out our Work Experience offering on our Get Involved page.
If you’re retired, taking a break from work, or looking to get back into employment, becoming a Miracle Theatre volunteer will boost your confidence and allow new learning opportunities. Give as much or as little time as you can – every shift makes a difference. Contributing your ideas and enthusiasm can combat social isolation, loneliness, and improve mental health for the whole community.
Plus, you’ll meet new people, encounter new experiences, and definitely have a laugh – that’s a guarantee when you’re surrounded by our cast of actors, performers, and backstage crew!
Cornwall has a thriving arts and culture scene, which you can take part in. Ever wondered how you can give back to your local community, and support Cornwall’s vibrant theatre output? Joining us in a voluntary capacity can also be a great way to network and meet other professionals in the industry.
Plus, you can see the show for free!
So if you want to gain experience in the theatre industry, give back to your local community, or get out and meet new people, we’ve got the volunteer role for you. We need volunteers all year round, but now is the time to sign up for Christmas! We are now recruiting Miracle Workers to spread some festive cheer at ‘Duffy and the Stiltskin’ in Falmouth from 14th December until 4th January.
Behind every great performance are the incredible team of volunteers – join the team today. Sign up here or find out more on our Volunteer Portal.
