A Winter Pause: Discovering Cornwall’s Seasonal Delights

In between getting ready for this year’s The Real Father Christmas on 6th December & planning for our 2026 shows we’ve been taking a look at all the brilliant Christmass-y things Cornwall has to offer this festive season.  

Our venue friends have been busy getting festive ; Trebah has a wonderful collection of workshops, storytelling and lunches starting late November and all the way to 1st January.  Christmas at Trebah – Trebah Garden.  Trelissick will be celebrating Christmas every day from 6th December until 4th January Christmas at Trelissick | Cornwall | National Trust and Father Christmas will be over at Trerice.  Christmas at Trerice | Cornwall | National Trust

If markets are your thing you’ll be spoilt for choice, check out Eden Christmas at the Eden Project | Eden ProjectHealeys Christmas Markets and St Ives, where Santa arrives by lifeboat Father Christmas’ arrival by Lifeboat – St Ives Town Council, Cornwall ! 

If you’re looking for a bit of theatre our friends are busy with Christmas shows ; 

You’ll find Near-Ta Theatre’s Christmas Time 2025 touring from 5th December Christmas. Time. – Near-ta Theatre and another other marvellous friend, Craig Johnson, will be at the Princess Pavillions on 14th December with his Squashbox Theatre and The Christmassy Christmas Show of Christmassy Christmasness! Squashbox Theatre presents Christmas – Princess Pavilion  … not long after that the Helston Town Band will be performing a live musical performance of The Snowman, magic!  

If it’s a panto you’re keen on there is, of course, Aladdin at Hall for Cornwall Truro and Dick Whittington with Shane Richie at The Theatre Royal Plymouth. 

As for us, we’ll be on The Moor in Falmouth with The Real Father Christmas on 6th December, collecting gifts for charities to share with families in need this Christmas. See the poster below for details on how you can donate.
