Ethel Stokes
Ethel is no stranger to the stage having grown up in a theatrical family in London. She volunteered for the Land Army and, as luck would have it, found herself on a train to Falmouth. She is to be seen out in all weathers tending the animals on the Willoughby-Brown farm.
George Willoughby-Brown
George is almost a household name: star of stage the London stage and often to be heard on the BBC. His career may have been temporarily paused by the war, but he continues to exercise his talents at E.N.S.A. What a privilege to have George grace our little family endeavour!
Eleanor Willoughby-Brown
Literature is Eleanor’s first love and, though she works round the clock on something terribly hush-hush at Bletchley Park, she has somehow found time to write this year’s pantomime script. She is known as Len by the family!
Horace Gadley
Horace (affectionately known to the family as Uncle Winkie) is a regular fixture at Willoughby-Brown Christmases and is always happy to join in the fun and games. His connections with the armament industry are useful when it comes to special effects!
Dorothy Willoughby-Brown
The youngest of John and Margery’s brood, Dot is a talented pianist and bursting with artistic ambitions. When she grows up, she wants to travel to Paris to study modern dance.
Margery Willoughby-Brown
Margery has been a stalwart of the Falmouth Women’s Institute for many years. A familiar face in every nook and cranny of the community, with many practical skills. She’s as much at home under the bonnet of a tractor as she is at the controls of a sowing machine.
John Willoughby-Brown
Before the outbreak of war, John used to travel to every corner of the globe on the lookout for new products for the family business, Willoughby Carpets Ltd. His passion for the exotic is matched by his love of painting and some of his larger canvases grace the stage tonight.
