Miracle at Port Eliot Festival

Five unknown writers get the chance to have their scripts performed by Miracle actors Angus Brown, Kyla Goodey and Kate Lamerton Wilde at this weekend’s Port Eliot Festival. We’ll be in the Profwriting.com tent on Friday 23 at 6.30pm and on Sunday 25 at 2.30pm, where the scripts will be performed and put to the final audience vote. The five selected plays are: Final Fling by Simon Caro; 50/50 by Alexandra Day-Smith; Back To Back by Rosie Finnegan, The West and the Mints by Jane Spurr and Two Women with Prams by Yasmin Wilde.

Aspiring writers wer invited to submit a play for two people, up to ten minutes long, on the theme The West. Around 40 script entries were judged by a panel that included Miracle Theatre Director Bill Scott and Susannah Marriott from Profwriting.com, an organisation that supports upcoming writers.
