We are delighted to announce a brand new collaboration with Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery as part of our summer Troll Competition inspired by our 2026 production of Peer Gynt.
We have been blown away by the incredible troll creations already arriving from young people across Cornwall. Funny, wild, magical, mysterious and mischievous, showning us amazing imagination and creativity.
Now, thanks to our new partnership with the museum and their upcoming exhibition Cornish Myths & Legends, the prize pot is even more exciting!
The winning entry will now receive:
✨ A family ticket to see Peer Gynt (4 tickets)
✨ 4 tickets to the Cornish Myths & Legends exhibition at Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery
✨ A museum goodie bag
Trolls are deeply rooted in Nordic folklore, just as Cornwall is rich with its own myths, legends, giants, knockers, piskies and mysterious tales passed down through generations.
Some trolls are tiny. Some are enormous. Some are friendly, others terrifying. Some live in caves, forests or mountains… and some might even live under your bed.
We’d love to meet yours.
You can create your troll in any way you like:
Draw it, build it, model it, animate it, sew it, bake it… anything goes.
Just don’t forget to tell us your troll’s:
✨ Name
✨ Age
✨ Size
✨ Personality
Years 7–8
Years 9–10
(or school age equivalent)
👉 Deadline: 4pm, Friday 22 May 2026
