‘After a damp summer spent entertaining audiences in the great outdoors, we are delighted to be bringing our production of ‘the funniest play ever written’ The Importance of Being Earnest to the Hall for Cornwall,’ says director Bill Scott. ‘These are the sort of comfortable and civilized surroundings to which Oscar Wilde’s ‘trivial comedy for serious people’ is best suited and we would like to invite all members of polite society to join us for a couple of hours of unbridled merriment.’

With 1912-inspired design by Alan and Jude Munden, a sound track of toe-tapping Ragtime tunes and choreography by Kyla Goodey, come along and join this this multi-skilled and popular cast when they perform this classic production, in all its glory, on Cornwall’s largest stage!

Cast: Benjamin Dyson as the formidable ‘handbag!’ Lady Bracknell, Wesley Griffith playing Algernon Moncreiff, Catherine Lake, playing Miss Gwendolen Fairfax, Rebecca Rowe as Cecily Cardew, Dominic Power as Dr Chasuble and Ciaran Clarke, in the role of Jack Worthing
