This venue is the Devon base for the charity Farms For City Children. Founded over 30 years ago, FFCC is a children’s educational charity that now runs three farms: Nethercott in Devon, Wick Court in Gloucestershire and Treginnis Isaf on the Pembrokeshire coast. 3,000 children each year, aged between 8 and 14, including very many disadvantaged children benefit from a week away working alongside real farmers in the fresh air and beautiful countryside learning so much more than is possible in the confines of a normal classroom. Even children with special educational needs find something they are good at therefore building up self esteem.
