Grade II listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens, Rougemont Gardens were originally part of the defences of Exeter Castle. Incorporating the major historic features of the Roman city wall and ditches of William the Conqueror’s Castle, the gardens, situated between Exeter Phoenix and Exeter Library, are Exeter’s hidden gem. No parking at this venue. Toilets are accessed at the side of the gardens by the cinema. There are no refreshments available on site, so Picnics encouraged!
