Pre-Theatre Dinner: Falmouth

It is, of course, traditional to have a meal before attending the theatre. We’ve put together some favourites in Falmouth that you might want to indulge in before seeing Everyman. Our wonderful friends at Oh, Crepe will be serving fresh, made-to-order crepes at the Princess Pavilion. For those of you after something heartier, there are further delicious options below. And remember! You can bring your takeaway and eat at the Pavilion!

Oh, Crepe

Walk: 0 min baby!

This tiny operation serves up sumptuous crepes, both savoury and sweet. Nothing beats fresh spinach, creamy ricotta and earthy mushroom or the quintessential lemon and sugar. These soft beauties are lovingly crafted for each order and there is, of course, a vegan option! For the duration of Everyman, Oh Crepe will be at the Princess Pavilion from 6pm so those of you attending our evening shows can enjoy food without worrying about making extra plans! 41 Melvill Rd, Falmouth TR11 4AR, United Kingdom

Falmouth Food Coop Kitchen

Walk: 0 min

Falmouth Food Co-op Kitchen has recently moved to the Princess Pavilion. With the help of Falmouth Town Council they have set up a social eating space, where everybody is welcome to meet each other and share good food. A selection of tea, coffee, soft drinks, cake and lunches are available daily. They are open 10 – 4 for any of you coming to our earlier shows! 41 Melvill Rd, Falmouth TR11 4AR, United Kingdom

Meat Counter

Walk: 12 min

An absolute stunner of a burger place. They use grass-fed free-range Cornish beef as well as organic buns from a local artisan bakery. Classic American hamburgers, vegan and vegetarian options (one is called the Hallouminati – lol), fried chicken burgers and snazzy hot dogs will fill you up to the brim! Takeaways available so bring ‘em with you. 25 Arwenack St, Falmouth TR11 3JE, United Kingdom

Bodega 18

Walk: 11 min

You’re in Cornwall. Already feels like a holiday. Take one bite of the potato octopus tapas, close your eyes and you’re in Spain: double holiday. Bodega 18 is a Spanish tapas bar that serves up authentic small plates. The cauliflower two ways sounds nice, pureed n pickled, and the temptation of romesco sauce never disappoints.  46 Arwenack St, Falmouth TR11 3JH, United Kingdom

Harbour Lights Fish and Chips

Walk: 11 min

This chippy is well-known for its ethically sourced fish and with their reasonable prices and scrumptious batter it’s a must visit for all of us at some point–perhaps before seeing a play? There’s a lovely view over the harbour if you choose to sit in, but Harbour Lights, of course, serves takeaway if you’d prefer to munch down with us at the Pavilion. Arwenack St, Falmouth TR11 3LH, United Kingdom

Hub Box

Walk: 9 min

Hub Box serves tasty burgers, whether you want beef, chicken, fish or veggo as well as some rather delectable dirty fries (that’s chips with toppings FYI). Their beef is 21-day dry-aged and locally sourced. It’s all quality at this place. You can also get some creative and fun burgers with breaded jackfruit and kimchi or halloumi with pineapple relish–yummo! MARITIME HOUSE, Discovery Quay, Unit 5, Falmouth TR11 3XA, United Kingdom

RoBo Asian Bar and Canteen

Walk: 10 min

RoBo Asian bar offers a contemporary Japanese-focused menu with some Korean and Vietnamese influences too. As far as we’re concerned, nothing beats a banh mi–inarguably the yummiest sandwich in the world. They come with fresh herbs, pickled carrot and radish as well as soy caramel pork, crispy tofu or miso-poached chicken. Or if you’re in a soupy mood, all their ramen are covered with generous toppings. Good stuff. Admiralty House, 2 Bank Place, Falmouth TR11 4AT, United Kingdom

Habaneros Burrito Bar

Walk: 12 min

That’s the thing about a burrito, it’s a solid brick of pure delight. Soft rice, creamy avocado, flavourful beans, pulled pork or chicken or fajita vegetables all wrapped in a nice, tight tortilla. Habaneros makes a mighty fine burrito and also serves cheesy quesadillas, tacos and nachos. These guys offer takeaway if you want to bring your brick to the Pavilion. 2 Quay St, Falmouth TR11 3HH, United Kingdom
