Guess who’s back? Back again… It’s good ol’ Father Christmas and he’s making the rounds in Cornwall this season to try to meet as many of you as possible. But where to see him? We’ve put together a list of the top 5 spots to see Father Christmas in 2022.
That’s right, folks. Father “real” Christmas will be borrowing our iconic Pink Van to use at Falmouth’s Festive Weekend. And he’ll be there to collect presents! It’s that time of year to spread merriment and cheer, so we invite you to donate an unwrapped gift to help Santa spread a little joy to families. Gifts can be suitable from baby to teen, and can include non-perishable foods. 10 & 11 December 2022.
Santa will arrive by lifeboat between 6.30 and 7.00pm on December 7th, he will get onto his sleigh being pulled by boys rugby club taken around the Wharf, down Fore Street round Market Square, onto High Street, Tregenna and then onto Café Art where he will be greeted by the local hero and the Mayor of St Ives. The local hero will turn on the Christmas lights on the Christmas tree.
Father Christmas is hiding in his grotto somewhere in the cathedral and the elves need your help to find him. During the walkabout around the cathedral, hear the storytelling cat and the singing cathedral mouse tell a story while they too search for Father Christmas and his grotto. Meet Father Christmas and his newest helper Elfie this Christmas at Eden. Elfie is fresh out of Elf Training Camp and ready to get stuck in – but she keeps accidentally causing havoc, instead of helping! Old Father Frost’s Grotto. Bring your children to wander through a magical world of the night before Christmas, meet Old Father Frost, hear his songs and stories, help his elves to make a Christmas card for someone special. Various dates throughout December.
