September 23 Must-sees

Although it comes part way through the year, September is a month of new beginnings and creation. There are many wonderful events taking place across the county this month and here are just a few of them.

Kite Festival

On Sunday 3 September, 2-5pm, there will be a charity kite flying event at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan. Kites of all descriptions, sizes and colours will be taking off in with the stunning view of the Cornish north coast, with hilarious sports commentaries from Trifle Gathering. FUP at the Minack Theatre

Catch the hilarious and heart-warming tale of a Grandaddy, his Grandson and an ass-kicking duck who will change their world forever at the Minack Theatre between 20 September to 5 October. Written and directed by Olivier Award Winning Cornish Director Simon Harvey, this production features live music and puppetry. Book your tickets soon before the show sells out.

St Ives September Festival

This infamous 15-day festival of arts and culture has been successfully running for over forty years and is an important part of the life of St Ives. The festival begins on Saturday 9 September and there is a fantastic line-up of musicians, comedians, and poets, as well as exhibitions and workshops to attend.
